Pantone Selects Colors of the Year for 2021: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating
“Even in the gray sameness of our current days, the future does look a whole lot brighter. Illuminated even.” ( NY Times, 2021)
How fortuitous was Pantone’s 2020 color, “Classic Blue”? Our world plunged into the “blues” while the quarantine was put into place, confining us to our homes. Our homes took on a new deeper meaning to all of us. Hopefully, Pantone’s colors of 2021 — “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating” — predict a much brighter future! The metaphor of these two colors have been referred to as “the light at the end of the tunnel.”
