Riverside

Located just nine miles west of downtown Chicago, Riverside is an affluent suburban village with over 9,000 residents. Arguably the first planned community in the United States, Riverside was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in 1869. The village is located in the Riverside Landscape Architecture District and was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1970. Riverside maintains a beautiful, upscale suburban community, as well as a charming village center with modern restaurants, coffee shops, and antique stores.
